The Starchild Tarot Akashic edition unboxing

If I had to use one word to sum up my impressions of the Starchild Tarot Akashic edition based on the unboxing:

Dig I mention that this deck is beautiful?

Also, BIG. While artist Danielle Noel has said that she plans to release this deck in a smaller size, that’s not currently available. So, small-handed shufflers, beware – this one is a little unwieldy.

I almost didn’t buy this deck. Here’s why:

  1. It’s really pastel. I HATE pink. And I’m not much on pale yellow, baby blue, or most of the other pastel colors, either. But somehow… the deck manages not to drown in the Lucky Charms marshmallow soft colors the way I feared. It’s got bold turquoises, deep indigos, greens, golds, and earthy tones that balance out the softness of the pastel card backs and super-pink box.
  2. It’s pricy. And I already have a few high-end, beautifully packaged, thick-stock decks.
  3. I have just barely started exploring the Akashic record and sacred geometry and was concerned this deck may be packed with imagery I didn’t get.

I’m so glad I ignored these doubts, because this really is a powerful deck. I’m currently using it for the #spiritguidechallenge on Instagram and loving it.
